How to play Rules
Black Jack, also popular as 21, is probably the most popular table game offered in gambling establishments. The rules are easy; you simply need to have a hand value that is closer to 21 than that of the dealer; without exceeding value of 21. If so, you win! See below for detailed Black Jack instructions.

How to play:

Enter the WinAsUGo™ application on your mobile phone (check out our Downloads Page for details on how to download the Casino5 application for free). While opening the application you will be asked if your phone allows access to the network. The Casino5 application will not work without connecting to the network so please click Yes.
Choose whether you want to play a money game or a fun game from the applications main menu.
Choose Black Jack from the games menu and click Select to enter the game.
Select your preferred chip size (the amount of money you would like to bet with) and click Select. Your chip size can be changed after each Black Jack hand.
On the game table your default bet size is identical to the chip size that you had previously selected. You are allowed to increase your bet by moving the handsets joystick or cursor up and down, this will allow you to increase your bet size by up to 5 times the amount of your selected chip size. This can be done before each new hand. Should you receive a Push hand, where your hand and the dealer's hand are the same value, your balance will not be changed.
Click Deal, wait for a couple of seconds while the game connects to the WinAsUGo™ system, and two cards will be dealt for you and two for the dealer. Both of your cards will be face up showing the total amount of your hand but only one of the dealer's cards will be face up. Select Hit to draw more cards or select Options for all other Black Jack moves: Stand, Split or Double. You will be offered the Insurance option when the dealer has an Ace card.
If you win the hand the money will automatically be added to your games balance on the right hand side of your games screen. If you don't win your original bet size and other increments (such as the insurance or double options) the amount will be deducted from your total balance.
To play again select New Game and you will be dealt a new hand. Your chosen bet size from the previous round will be the same but again you can change it using the handsets joystick. Alternatively you can choose Quit to exit the games screen and change your chip size.

Rules:

Black Jack is played with 5 decks of 52 cards each.
The cards are shuffled after every hand played.
The cards are valued as follows:
  • If an Ace is dealt to a player first it has a value of 11, unless the total sum of the players hand is over 21. In this instance the Ace will be valued at 1.
  • When an Ace is dealt to the dealer it has a value of 11. If the dealer's hand is between 17 and 21 he must stand. If the dealer's hand is over 21 the Ace will be valued as 1.
  • All cards from 2-10 are counted at their face value.
  • All Royal cards - Jacks, Queens and Kings - have a value of 10.
If a player's hand consists of an Ace and one of either a 10, Jack, Queen or King, it will be considered a Black Jack hand and you will receive a 3 to 2 payment immediately (if you bet £10 you'll win back £15). If the Black Jack hand is dealt in a Split hand (not with the first two cards) it will NOT be considered Black Jack, but just 21, and will not pay 3 to 2 like a genuine Black Jack.
You can only win a hand if you have not exceeded 21 and:
  • the dealer's hand exceeds 21.
  • your hand total is greater than that of the dealer.
If your hand equals 21 you will not be dealt any more cards.
The dealer must stand on 17 and draw on 16.
Insurance is bought at half of the original wager meaning that if you bet £20 on your hand then insurance would cost £10 and pays 2 to 1 if the dealer's unseen card is a ten value card. If you bet £10 on insurance and the dealer does have a natural Black Jack then you win £20 but lose your original bet, unless you also have a Black Jack hand.

Please note:
Double, Split and Insurance wagering options will only be permitted once the first round of cards have been dealt.

Terminology:

Split:
If your first two cards have the same value, for example two 4's, two 5's or a 10 and a Queen, such a combination can be split into two new hands. You can then play normally starting with one card instead of two. Your initial bet will be doubled automatically, unless your balance has insufficient funds. If a Black Jack hand is received as a result of a split hand it will be considered as 21.

How to split your hand:

In order to split your hand when your first two cards are identical, simply press Options and select Split.
One card from your current hand will be left visible and another card will be dealt to create a normal starting hand. You can then continue to play normally until you choose Stand or exceed 21.
Once the Stand option is selected you will be offered the Second hand option.
This hand is played as a normal hand. When you Stand or Bust the dealer will draw his cards and the accumulated results of each of your hands against his will be presented.
Double:
If your hand equals a total of 9, 10 or 11 when the first two cards are dealt you may choose to Double your bet. On choosing this option you will only be dealt a single card.

How to Double your bet:

To double your bet select Options and choose Double.
Your original bet will automatically double, unless your balance has insufficient funds, and you will be dealt only one card to complete your hand.
Insurance:
The insurance option gives you the chance to protect yourself when you believe that the dealer has a Black Jack hand. If the dealer's open card is an Ace, and you believe that the dealer's other card is either a 10 or a Royal, you may buy insurance against the dealer's Black Jack at the total price of half of your initial bet. If the dealer does have Black Jack, the insurance will pay 2 to 1, corresponding to the amount of your initial bet. If you buy insurance and the dealer does not have Black Jack you will lose that insurance amount. Your initial bet is then settled normally.

How to make an Insurance bet:

If the dealer is dealt an open Ace you will be offered the Insurance option. Choose Yes, and an additional 50% of your initial bet will be wagered, choose No to waive this option.
